Development of a Rubric using RubiStar

Introduction:
Rubrics are powerful assessment tools that can guide both instructors and students by clearly defining expectations for performance levels. In this post, I share a rubric I developed with the help of RubiStar and provide the full PDF for your reference.

RubiStar (a free online rubric generator) makes creating rubrics easier by providing templates and customizable criteria. In the PDF attached below, you’ll find:

  • The purpose and rationale of the rubric
  • The criteria and performance levels
  • How it was tailored for a specific assignment
  • Tips for using and adapting the rubric

View it directly here or download it for your own use.
